Child safety is everyone's responsibility!

This year at St. George's we have been engaging in lots of discussions with children and families around child safety. The office of the Children's Guardian https://ocg.nsw.gov.au/, has lots of information, resources and support materials.
One of the experiences we have been engaging in is supporting children to identify five heroes: Five people they can trust to talk to about anything and who will always listen to them and protect them. A few weeks ago the children then took their hero cards to hand to the five people they identified as their heroes!
The argument made in this article is insightful and persuasive. The emphasis on interactive digital services shows how important they are becoming in the modern society.
